The computer revolution has changed the way people live in 21st century. Computer engineers are the main engines that drive this rapid development. The Department of Computer and Network Engineering at Assumption University provides courses ranging from the basic subjects to the advanced subjects such as computer architecture, operating systems, computer programming, embedded systems, and computer network applications and security. In addition, with the foundation courses in mathematics, physics, and engineering laboratory, students will acquire broader skills of engineers. That will help the students learn to design a large complex systems and solve problems correctly and efficiently.
Our High-Speed Network laboratory is equipped with 4 high performance Dell servers, 20 powerful workstations, gigabit switch, routers, test equipments, and many more. Students will have opportunities to do experiment in networking, simulate computer networks, and analyze their performances.
Career opportunities for graduates in computer and network engineering are abundant. As the technology continues to expand, the demand for computer engineers will keep on increasing. A new graduate in computer and network engineering will have a bright and challenging future. Computer engineering graduates at Assumption University have hand-on experiences in computer programming, networking, and application development. Some of them have become entrepreneurs beginning new businesses by applying acquired knowledge and technology to new areas of service.
